लिग्रोइन पेट्रोलियम अंश है जिसमें अधिकतर सी होता है7 और सी8 हाइड्रोकार्बन और क्वथनांक 90‒140 °C (194–284 °F) की सीमा में। अंश को भारी मिट्टी का तेल भी कहा जाता है।[1][2] लिग्रोइन का उपयोग प्रयोगशाला विलायक के रूप में किया जाता है। लिग्रोइन नाम के उत्पादों में क्वथनांक 60‒80 °C जितना कम हो सकता है और इसे हल्का नाफ्था कहा जा सकता है।[3] लिग्रोइन (या लिग्रोइन या लिग्रोइन) नाम 1866 की शुरुआत में दिखाई दिया।[note 1]
मानक
लिग्रोइन को CAS रजिस्ट्री नंबर 8032-32-4 सौंपा गया है, जो कई अन्य उत्पादों पर भी लागू होता है, विशेष रूप से कम उबलने वाले, जिन्हें पेट्रोलियम स्पिरिट (बहुविकल्पी), पेट्रोलियम ईथर और पेट्रोलियम गैसोलीन कहा जाता है।[3]
ईंधन के रूप में प्रयोग करें
मैनहेम और फॉर्ज़िहैम के बीच बर्था बेंज मेमोरियल रूट पर दुनिया के पहले उत्पादन ऑटोमोबाइल, बेंज पेटेंट मोटर कार को ईंधन भरने के लिए लिग्रोइन का इस्तेमाल किया गया था। बर्था बेंज ने विस्लोच में एक फार्मेसी में वाहन में लिग्रोइन जोड़ा, जिससे यह इतिहास का पहला भरने का ठिकाना बन गया।
पहला कार्यात्मक डीजल इंजन भी लिग्रोइन पर चल सकता था।[4]
